Explanation of the methods of
payment
Benefits are made by means of
remittances,
normally by remittance to your bank account, and exceptionally by the forwarding of a cheque.
You are requested to fill out the enclosed payment form, noting the following instructions:
In any case, the pension *) can be remitted to an account at a bank or postal giro account in the Federal
Republic
of Germany. Where necessary, fill in field 1.
Your pension can also be paid overseas. For individual countries, differing methods of payment have been
approved.
If you are a resident of
CANADA
the pension is paid into your account with any bank in Canada. A request is made to use this method of
remittance and to fill in field 3. Please quote the account number and in any case the
"Institution Number" and the "Branch Number".
In the event you don't wish to use this practical and economic method of payment for any reason, a
Canadian $
cheque can be sent to your address on a monthly basis. The cheque can be cashed at any
bank (in this case, fill in field 5).
